About the OBX Gobbler 5K & Fun Run
This Thanksgiving morning race runs through Nags Head on the Outer Banks. The course is road-based and the beach town setting gives it an open, windswept feel typical of a barrier island in late fall. Clock timing keeps things simple, with no chip timing involved.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at a location to be announced in Nags Head, with a cash incentive for picking up early. Race morning setup is near a HomeGoods at the Outer Banks Mall, which also serves as the parking area. Light snacks and drinks are available after the finish.
