About the 41st Annual Newark Mile 4k (2026)
The course follows the Newark Days parade route through the city, so the road is already closed and lined with people who are there for the festival, not just the race. It runs flat through the streets, and the crowd is thick in spots where the carnival and other activity spills close to the route.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at the Newark Community Center, which is also where race-morning check-in happens. The center sits near the corner of Cedar Boulevard and Chapman Drive. The finish drops you back into the festival, where there are carnival rides, live music, food, a beer and wine area, a car show, and an arts and crafts fair.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.
