About the 27th Annual Millennium Run

The course runs through the Heathrow neighborhood, right outside the school where the race is based. It is certified and professionally timed, and the route is fast with no significant climbing. Strollers are permitted, but the organizers ask that they start toward the back for safety.

Packet pickup is race morning in the school gym, which also serves as an indoor warm-up space. A coffee truck is on-site, and there are post-race refreshments. Parking is free on the school grounds. Awards follow the race in the gym.

Common Questions About the The 27th Annual Millennium Run

Will I finish last at the 27th Annual Millennium Run?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 31:45, and the last recorded finisher came in around 51:00, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the 27th Annual Millennium Run a good first 5K?

It is a small race (81 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the 27th Annual Millennium Run?

The 5K winner ran 19:37 while the median finisher took 31:45. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
