About the Highmark Wholecare Labor Day Free 5K
The course runs on paved roads with a few gentle rolling hills, starting near a hotel at a highway interchange on the edge of Gettysburg. The terrain is smooth underfoot and the hills are mild, so walkers and runners tend to mix naturally without either feeling out of place.
Same-day registration opens well before the start, so you can show up the morning of without having signed up in advance. There is no entry fee, which makes this one of the easier mornings to convince someone to join you for the first time.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
