The Highlands Reindeer Run is a holiday-themed race that benefits a local school district education foundation. Costumes are part of the culture here, reindeer antlers, ugly sweaters, jingle bells, and runners tend to show up dressed for it. The course is in Porter, and the morning wraps up with an awards ceremony after results are verified.
