About the Grind 5K Run/Walk at Beck's Mill
The course heads out and back through quiet countryside roads south of Salem, starting with a steep climb that gives the race its name. After that opening hill, the route rolls through the surrounding farmland before turning back. It is a rural road race with real terrain underfoot, not a flat park loop.
The entry includes access to the historic grist mill and its grounds on race day. Post-race, there is breakfast and snacks, and a waterfall at the old mill dam where you can sit and decompress. Mill tours run that morning as well, so there is reason to stick around after you finish.
