About the Great Pickle Race 5k & Pickleball Tournament

Wolf Pack Park has wooded trails that make up the main course, with a shorter paved option alongside. The trail route feels like a proper local park run, trees close on both sides, nothing too technical. The event shares the park with a pickleball tournament, so the atmosphere is busier than a typical morning race. Water and snacks are out at the finish.

Common Questions About the The Great Pickle Race 5k & Pickleball Tournament

Will I finish last at the Great Pickle Race 5k & Pickleball Tournament?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 41:11, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:03:50, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Great Pickle Race 5k & Pickleball Tournament a good first 5K?

It is a small race (25 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Great Pickle Race 5k & Pickleball Tournament?

The 5K winner ran 25:12 while the median finisher took 41:11. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
