About the Great McLean Turkey Trot
This one runs through the McLean neighborhood in South Shore on Thanksgiving morning, looping the same stretch a couple of times. There is no timing chip and no bib, so the pressure is off entirely. Costumes are encouraged, and there are actual awards for the most creative, most festive, and funniest outfits on the course.
The start is at the South Shore Clubhouse. A shorter kids route goes first, with the main run following shortly after. Both are open to anyone who shows up, runners and walkers alike, which makes it a reasonable pre-feast outing for the whole family.
