About the Gobbler Classic 5K Run/Walk
The Gobbler Classic runs on Thanksgiving morning, starting and finishing at Faith Church in Dyer. The course is on roads, and the field tends to draw families, stroller-pushers, and walkers alongside faster runners. A portion of entry fees goes to local food pantries, which gives the morning a purpose beyond the race itself.
Packet pickup happens the two evenings before the race, so most people are sorted before they arrive. After finishing, there is complimentary food and drinks inside the church atrium. Age-group awards cover a wide range of brackets, with separate recognition for the top male and female overall.
