The race starts and finishes at The Dupps Company, looping out through Germantown and back. The course offers both a short walk option and a longer run, keeping things open to a wide range of paces. A local animal rescue group brings dogs to the event, which gives the start area a distinct energy before the gun goes off.

Packet pickup happens the morning of the race, well before the start, so there is no need to make a separate trip the day before. Food trucks are set up for after, and there is face painting on site. The post-race area tends to linger a bit, partly because of the dogs milling around from the adoption table.
