About the Doodle Trail Race Series

The course follows the Easley-Pickens Doodle Trail, a rail trail named for the historic shortline railroad that once connected the two towns. Several distance options make it a family affair, from a short kids' out-and-back to a half marathon on the same corridor. The trail character is what you'd expect from a converted railroad grade: steady, linear, no real climbing.

The start and finish are at the Southern Weaving amphitheater, which doubles as the post-race gathering spot. Packet pickup the evening before is also there, with food on the lawn and running gear vendors. Race morning flows into a fall vendor market, with a bounce house and face painting for kids hanging around after.
