About the Cold SpringTurkey Trot
The course runs through Cold Spring and starts and finishes at a school football field and track. The terrain is road, the distance is short, and the setting is a small town on Thanksgiving morning, which gives the whole thing a before-the-meal, neighborhood-gathering feeling.
The start area is the school athletic complex, so there is open space to warm up and easy access to the track finish. Proceeds go to the school foundation that organizes the race, so the local connection is direct. A trophy goes to the overall winner, with the name added to a running list of past champions.

The Cold SpringTurkey Trot has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 18, 2026.
