About the Call Light the Way 5K

This is an evening run held at a church on the edge of town, after dark, with runners encouraged to carry glow sticks, fairy lights, or lanterns along the route. The race benefits a foster care organization serving several surrounding counties, so the field tends to include people with a personal connection to that work.

Arrive early if you can. Before the start there is face painting, glow-in-the-dark gear available, food, and a fire department appearance. An awards ceremony follows the race.
