About the Body Shop Halloween Trick or Trot 5K
The course has a Halloween theme, and costumes are very much part of the scene, not an afterthought. The race benefits a local veterans organization, with proceeds going toward a Veterans Memorial Park. There is also a shorter kids and family option alongside the main distance, so younger participants are genuinely part of the day.
Halloween treats are waiting at the finish line. A costume contest runs alongside the race, so the competitive bit is not limited to who crosses first. The event is put on by The Body Shop in Hays, and they post updates through their Facebook and Instagram pages.
