About the Big Kahuna 5K, 10K - Fort Worth
The Big Kahuna leans into a tropical theme hard: leis at the race, luau-inspired music at the start and finish, and a photo backdrop set up after you cross the line. The course is chip-timed for the longer distances, with age-group awards and an overall trophy for the top finishers. There is a short kids option as well, untimed and built around cheering.
Packet pickup wraps up shortly before the race begins, so arriving early is worth it. The start kicks off with the national anthem. Post-race, there are tropical treats at the finish and a setup that encourages sticking around. A tropical-themed photo backdrop near the finish gives you something to do while you catch your breath.
