About the Ascent 5k Race
The race takes place at Rob Fleming Park, a setting tied to the mission of a local nonprofit supporting people with autoimmune diseases. Costumes are actively encouraged, and the atmosphere reflects that, with music and vendors at the finish area. Post-race refreshments are out when the course closes.
The park serves as both the start and the finish celebration, so everything stays in one place. Race-morning packet pickup happens right there at the park. If you are volunteering before running, plan to arrive well ahead of the start.
