About the Active Texan Tinsel Trot
The Tinsel Trot runs at dusk and into the evening around Lake Walk in Bryan, so parts of the course are lit by streetlights rather than daylight. Headlamps are suggested for the longer distance. Costumes and holiday gear are encouraged, and glow accessories are handed out along the way. Several distance options make it work for most of the people who show up together.
After the run, the Lake Walk Pavilion hosts a post-race gathering with food trucks, hot chocolate, and music on the Green. It feels more like a closing-out-the-year party than a typical finish-line setup.
