About the 5k Chicken Run

The course runs at Oviedo Mall, so the terrain is flat and paved, with plenty of open space around the parking lot and surrounding roads. Costumes are part of the culture here, chicken-themed or otherwise, and dogs on leashes are welcome to run alongside you. Proceeds go toward a local youth track club and other youth sports programs in the area.

Race-morning packet pickup and registration open before the gun, so you can arrive, get your bib, and still have time to warm up. Parking is right at the mall, which makes logistics simple. Age group awards go several levels deep, so competitive runners across a wide spread of ages have something to race for.
