About the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Run & Walk
The course loops Shadyside Lake in Anderson, with walkers doing one lap and runners doing two. The route stays close to the water the whole way. There are no aid stations out on the course, so bring your own water and anything else you need. Pies and other prizes go out after, with awards for the top finishers in both categories.
The start is at the Activity Center near the Pickleball courts in Shadyside Park. Registration is available on race morning if you miss the online window. All proceeds go to Outfitters, a local organization that provides clothing to children in the area.
