About the Thanksgiving Day Race to Be Thankful

The course winds through the Gatewood neighborhood on paved, rolling roads with little traffic. Ponds and wooded sections break up the route, and the terrain has enough gentle up and down to keep it interesting without being demanding. Prizes go to overall winners and age group leaders, and all profits from the race benefit local food and shelter charities.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local church on Main Street, with race-morning pickup available at the Gatewood Club starting before the gun goes off. Post-race, there is pumpkin bread fresh from someone's kitchen, along with hot coffee and hot chocolate at the finish.
