About the Thanks-For-Giving Turkey Trot
The course starts on pavement around a campus, then moves to a wide gravel path along a lake before narrowing into a wooded trail through the Pine Barrens. The roots and rocks in that wooded stretch ask for some attention underfoot. After looping a second lake through the trees, the trail opens back onto pavement for the finish. Volunteers and water stations are posted along the way.
The race benefits a local addiction recovery ministry, and the connection to that cause is visible in how the event is set up, on the grounds of the organization it supports. Packet pickup and the start are both on campus, so there is not much to figure out on arrival. The morning begins early, with the gun going off not long after registration opens.

The Thanks-For-Giving Turkey Trot has been held every year since at least 2022. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 18, 2026.
