About the Thanks For Giving 4 Miler
This Thanksgiving morning race in New Albany is built around a food drive rather than a clock. There is no entry fee, and runners decide what they want to donate. The four-mile route has a Kids Dash alongside it, so the field tends to draw families out for a holiday morning together before the rest of the day begins.
Packet pickup happens the evening before, with race-morning pickup also available. Registration is online only, so if you plan to pick up on-site, bring your phone. Pie and giveaways have shown up post-race for donors in past years.

The Thanks For Giving 4 Miler has been held every year since at least 2019. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 18, 2026.
