About the TCTC Jingle Bell Run
The route winds through neighborhood streets near downtown Traverse City that are lit up with holiday decorations, so the scenery does most of the work. The run is not timed, which changes how it feels: people move at whatever pace suits them, and costumes are common enough that showing up without one makes you the odd one out.
The start and finish are at the Park Place Hotel, where hot chocolate and cookies are out after the run. Packet pickup happens there earlier in the evening, so you can arrive, get your stuff, and be ready without much scrambling.
