About the Tarzan Brown Mystic River Run
The course runs along the Mystic River, so there are water views for most of the route. It starts and finishes on Pearl Street, outside a funeral home, which is a more memorable landmark than most races get. The terrain is flat throughout, and the out-and-back shape means you see the same scenery twice.
Packet pickup on race morning runs until just before the start, with an early option at a local running store nearby. After you finish, the post-race party moves to the Mystic Museum of Art, a short walk from the finish line. Food, drink, and an awards ceremony are all part of it.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
