About the Talon Trot 5K & Fun Run

The course starts and finishes on a track, but most of it is not track running. From there it moves through the residential part of campus, out past athletic fields, and into wooded trails around a lake. The terrain shifts between open pavement, shaded forest paths, and packed dirt, so you get a genuinely varied few miles on a single course.

Packet pickup runs before the race outside near the track and bleachers, and that same area serves as the post-race gathering spot. Recovery drinks, fruit, and energy bars are set out after you finish. A short youth race follows the main event on the track, with awards for every finisher in that division.
