About the Tails on the Trail
The route runs through Francis RecreAcres Park on natural grassy terrain, so expect an informal walk on unpaved ground rather than a road course. Dogs are welcome and clearly the point. A costume contest for pups draws a crowd, and the path is not paved, so leave the stroller at home.
The morning opens with donuts and coffee before the walk starts, and sandwiches come out afterward. Vendors, live music, a bake sale, and a pumpkin patch fill the surrounding area. The event wraps up around midday, so it is a half-morning commitment.
