About the Taco The Town 5K & 10K
The course runs through North Stockton on a semi-closed route, so there is some traffic management but you are not fully separated from the road. Chip timing is built in, which matters if you are chasing a personal best. The feel is more neighborhood run than big-city event, and that is exactly the point: this race exists because there were not enough local options.
Taco trucks are set up at the finish, and local breweries bring beer samples. The post-race spread is the draw here. You finish, you eat, you drink. It is a simple idea, and it works.
