About the Swamp Stomp 5K
The course winds through the streets of Port Royal, passing marshes and coastal scenery typical of the Lowcountry. It is a road race through a small town, so expect neighborhoods and waterside views rather than trails or parkland. Awards go to age group winners and to a handful of special categories, including the fastest runner with a dog and the oldest finisher.
Packet pickup runs the day before at a local running store on Boundary Street in Beaufort, with a short window at the start line on race morning as a backup. After the race, local food trucks set up near the finish, with both savory and sweet options, alongside a craft show with local vendors.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2026 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
