About the SV Sunrise Rotary RISING SUN RUN
The half marathon climbs from the high desert floor up into the hills toward Ramsey Canyon Preserve, gaining real elevation along the way. Country neighborhoods line most of the route, and on the return leg you get open views across the San Pedro River valley. The altitude alone makes this a genuine workout, and the course is certified by USA Track & Field.
Packet pickup is held at Huachuca Mountain Elementary School, which also serves as race headquarters. There is pickup the evening before the race and again on race morning before the start. Post-race, there is music at the finish along with recovery snacks and drinks.
