About the Suwanee Beer Fest Beer Chaser 5K

The course starts and finishes at Suwanee Town Center Park, with most of the route running along the Suwanee Creek Greenway. It is a point-to-point-and-back shape through a paved trail corridor. Runners can choose to stop at beer stations along the way, each pouring from a different Georgia craft brewery, or run straight through and grab a beer at the finish instead.

The after-party continues across the street at StillFire Brewing, where there is live music and a food truck. Vendors including a taco restaurant and other sponsors are set up in the park near the finish as well, so there is plenty of reason to linger after you cross the line.

Common Questions About the Suwanee Beer Fest Beer Chaser 5K

Will I finish last at the Suwanee Beer Fest Beer Chaser 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 46:13, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:52:19, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Suwanee Beer Fest Beer Chaser 5K a good first 5K?

A field of 734 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Suwanee Beer Fest Beer Chaser 5K?

The 5K winner ran 18:34 while the median finisher took 46:13. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
