About the Strut in Sutton 5k
The course loops around Kezar Lake on rural roads that stay mostly flat the whole way around. Views open up toward King Ridge and Mount Kearsarge, and if you look out over the water you may catch a loon or a blue heron. The finish chute brings runners back to a spot where families and friends can actually watch the final stretch.
The race is put on by the local elementary school's parent organization, and the proceeds go toward classroom programs, field trips, and literacy initiatives for kids in the community. Day-of registration is available before the start, and the course begins at the intersection near Wadleigh State Park Road.
