About the 17th Annual Surfside Beach Turkey Trot 5K

The course opens with a view of the ocean before heading down Ocean Boulevard, then winds through the residential streets of Surfside Beach. It is a road race on flat coastal ground, and the ocean is right there at the start, so the first stretch has that salt-air-and-sunrise feeling that beach races tend to have.

Packet pickup happens on the two evenings before the race at a hotel on the oceanfront, with a shorter window on race morning near the start line. Free parking is available next to the pier. Port-a-potties are set up near the start and finish, and water and snacks are out after you cross.
