About the Support the Girls 5K Run/Walk
The race starts and finishes at a brewery in Tualatin, with a paved course that stays mostly flat the whole way. Leashed dogs are welcome, so you see plenty of four-legged company on the route. It is untimed, which changes the feel of the morning. The event raises money for Breast Friends, an Oregon nonprofit supporting people through breast cancer.
Packet pickup happens at the Breast Friends office in Tigard over the two days before the race, with morning and afternoon windows on both days. Back at the brewery after the run, there are vendors ranging from local businesses to other nonprofits, and pizza and a drink from Stickmen Brewing.
