About the Superhero Run 5k and Fun Run - Walk, Run, Wheelchair/Handcycle Roll
The course is open to runners, walkers, wheelchair users, handcycle riders, race chairs, and strollers, making it one of the more genuinely inclusive setups you will find at a local race. The whole thing is organized around a nonprofit that works with people with intellectual and physical disabilities, so the atmosphere reflects that purpose rather than a typical timed road race.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at a local ice cream shop, which is a good excuse to make a stop of it. After the race, there is a fun zone with food from a food truck, cotton candy, lawn games, and music.
