The course runs through Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, with water views along the way and the Cape Florida lighthouse visible from the route. The terrain is flat and the surroundings feel more like a nature preserve than a road race. After finishing, runners can stay and spend time at the beach, and there is a post-race breakfast and free skin cancer screenings by dermatologists on site.
