About the Sunflower Trail Run
The course runs through an actual sunflower field on dirt pathways cut between the plants. You are surrounded by blooms on both sides the whole way, which makes for a strange and genuinely pretty run. The ground is uneven, and if there has been rain before race day, expect mud. Bees come with the territory.
Pancakes are served after the races finish. Spectators cannot enter the field during the race, but there is a lookout bridge and elevated platforms where they can watch. Check-in opens before the first wave, and the organizers ask that you arrive with enough time to get through before your start.
