About the Sunfish "Sunset" Shuffle
The course is a loop race run into dusk, with each lap tracing the same mile-long circuit until the clock runs out. The winner is whoever completes the most laps, so you can push hard or pace yourself across the evening. Bring a headlamp; the final stretch happens after dark, and the sky going orange over the course is part of the deal.
After finishing, there is a bonfire with hot dogs roasted over the fire and s'mores. The race benefits a local veterans support group, and all proceeds stay in the area.
