About the 14th Annual Stuffing Strut
The course runs through Chester Frost Park, a county park on the water north of downtown Hixson. The terrain is gentle, and the surroundings are mostly trees and shoreline. It goes off Thanksgiving morning, so the air is usually cold and the crowd is mostly families and neighbors working up an appetite before the meal.
Registration and the start are both at the park pavilion, which gives everyone a central place to gather before and after. Proceeds are split among several local organizations, including a food bank, a volunteer fire department, and a neighborhood community house.
