About the Strides for SOS 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk

The race starts and finishes at Beverly Park, which also handles packet pickup on race morning. Parking is in the lot at the park itself, with overflow at the elementary school next door on Beverly Road. Age group awards go deep into the field, and overall winners take home a gift card to a local running store.

A recurring costumed banana enters the shorter distance each year, and beating it earns a prize. Packet pickup on race morning opens early, so arriving with time to spare before the start is worth it. Cash, check, and Venmo are all accepted for day-of registration.
