About the Storm the Beach
The course runs along the shore of Lake Huron and back, with a stretch across the harbor break wall built into the route. That section is narrow and exposed, with water on both sides, and it breaks up what would otherwise be a straightforward out-and-back along the beach. The surroundings are open and flat, with lake views most of the way.
Packet pickup and registration both happen on race morning at the start, opening well before the gun and closing shortly before it. There is no need to come out the day before.
