About the Stop Drop and Run 5k 10k
The course starts at the bay docks and follows the waterfront, so you have open water views for most of the run. The terrain is flat throughout, and the out-and-back shape means the finish line is right back where you started, with the bay behind you. The race benefits the local fire company, which gives the morning a genuine neighborhood feel.
Post-race there is music and vendors along the waterfront, and the crowd tends to stick around. The start area is right at the docks, so there is no hunting for the course.
