About the 11th Annual Stomp Out Sickle Cell 5K
The course starts inside a park in Homestead, heads out through parts of the city, and finishes at the top of a soccer field. It is a certified course with chip timing. The race raises awareness and funds for the sickle cell community, so the crowd around you tends to reflect that purpose directly.
Packet pickup runs in the hour or so before the start, inside the park. Vendors set up near the finish area, and an awards presentation follows once the field has come in. The park opens early enough that arriving with time to settle in is easy.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.
