About the Stink Stank Stunk 5k
The course is flat and starts outside Lockport Brewery in Bolivar. The race is built around a local nonprofit that supplies school clothes, backpacks, and Christmas gifts to families in need, so the crowd at the start tends to include people who showed up as much for that cause as for the running. Christmas costumes are part of the deal, in the middle of summer.
Packet pickup happens at the brewery on race day, starting in the late afternoon, with the shorter distance going off before the main event. Awards are self-serve at a table rather than a ceremony, which keeps the evening moving.
