About the Steps to Safety 5k
The Steps to Safety 5K runs through Wauseon in support of domestic violence awareness, organized by a local child and family advocacy center alongside the county's domestic violence task force. The course is open to runners and walkers alike, and the crowd tends to include families and people who show up as much for the cause as for the miles.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
