About the Step Up for Mental Health: A Walk To Remember
The course runs through Bruemmer Park along a trail lined with yard signs. Each sign carries photos, messages, and stories connected to mental health, so the route itself has a lot to look at and sit with. The feel is quieter than most races. People tend to walk as much as run, and the pace reflects what the event is about.
After finishing, grilled food is available at the pavilion. The park also has mental health resources set up, staffed by people there to talk, not just hand out pamphlets. If you want to add a photo or message to one of the yard signs, the organizer sends instructions after you register.
