About the Stars and Strides 5K
The course starts and finishes at Stormont Park, then heads out through the village streets and onto John Glenn Highway before turning back. It is a road race on a marked, out-and-back route with police support, so traffic is managed. The surroundings are quiet small-town Ohio, and the evening start means you are not running in the heat of the day.
Packet pickup and race-day registration both open at the park before the start. Food trucks and Kona Ice are on-site after the race. The event benefits local veterans and first responders through the Bravo Six Foundation, and that mission is pretty present in the atmosphere.
