This chip-timed race runs through Saint Michael as part of the town's summer festival weekend, so the atmosphere is more neighborhood block party than pure race. Strollers and leashed dogs are a normal sight at the start. Right after the main race finishes, a youth color run takes over, so families tend to stick around.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Town Square parking lot, with race-morning pickup available as well. Parking is at the Town Center lot and on nearby side streets. The festival itself runs across the weekend, so the finish area feeds directly into a larger outdoor event.
