About the St. Joseph Fullerton 2nd Annual Turkey Chaser 5K

This race is a timed event that benefits the school association and athletic programs tied to a local parish community. A shorter, untimed fun run goes off shortly after the main race, making it a morning that draws families as much as competitive runners. Awards follow once the field is in.

Packet pickup is available the evening before at the school, with race-morning pickup opening well before the start. The schedule runs tight and deliberate, moving from registration to warm-up to the gun in quick succession.

Common Questions About the St. Joseph Fullerton 2nd Annual Turkey Chaser 5K

Will I finish last at the St. Joseph Fullerton 2nd Annual Turkey Chaser 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.11 Miles field finished slower than 34:39, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:05:55, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the St. Joseph Fullerton 2nd Annual Turkey Chaser 5K a good first 3.11 Miles?

It is a small race (62 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.11 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the St. Joseph Fullerton 2nd Annual Turkey Chaser 5K?

The 3.11 Miles winner ran 18:51 while the median finisher took 34:39. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
