About the St. Joe Valley Happy Trail Run
The race runs through St. Patrick's County Park on trails the organizers describe as beginner-friendly. Several distance options share the same loop course, so shorter distances finish early while the half marathon keeps going. The park setting is wooded and scenic without being punishing underfoot, a reasonable first trail race for someone who mostly runs roads.
Packet pickup is offered the evening before at the park itself, which is also the start and finish. Race-morning pickup is available too, but plan to arrive early enough to find the start area and settle in. Proceeds from the entry fees support Rhyme & Reason Ministry, which serves people with developmental disabilities and foster youth.
