About the St. Francis Xavier Falcon 5K Run/Walk
The course runs through residential streets, starting and finishing on the same block. It is flat, paved neighborhood roads throughout, with one stretch where runners pass each other going in opposite directions, so the course marshals at that crossing matter. Blue paint marks every turn, and the fall leaves on the ground are worth watching underfoot.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the school, which also handles race-morning pickup at the start line. Parking is on the neighborhood streets along Ogden Avenue, not in the school lot. After the race, the school gym opens up with bagels, bananas, donuts, and drinks brought in by local businesses, and age-group awards follow shortly after.
